What is Nutriance Organic Balancing Tonic?
A gentle, refreshing toner and step two of NeoLife’s Nutriance Organic routine — used after cleansing to sweep away any last traces of impurity and prepare the skin for moisturiser. It is built on cornflower and barley waters with glycerin, ginkgo, ginseng and brown-seaweed extracts, and it is COSMOS ORGANIC certified. A 100 ml bottle, made in France.
It is formulated without drying denatured alcohol, so it refreshes and tones without the tight, stripped feeling some toners leave, and it suits all skin types.
Key ingredients and what they do
Read straight from the INCI list on the bottle — these are the ingredients’ recognised skincare roles, not medical claims.
| Ingredient | Role in the tonic |
|---|---|
| Cornflower flower water | A classic soothing floral water that makes up the refreshing base of the tonic. |
| Barley stem water | A botanical water that helps tone and refresh the skin’s surface. |
| Glycerin | A humectant that helps skin hold on to moisture, so the tonic refreshes without dehydrating. |
| Ginkgo biloba & Panax ginseng extracts | Botanical extracts included for a conditioning, invigorating feel. |
| Fucus vesiculosus (brown seaweed) extract | A marine extract used to help the skin look balanced. |
What it does for the skin
As a cosmetic toner, Nutriance Organic Balancing Tonic is formulated to:
- Remove residual impurities left after cleansing and refine the feel of the skin;
- Refresh and tone without a drying, tight after-feel;
- Add moisture, thanks to glycerin and the botanical waters;
- Leave the complexion looking fresh and even, ready for serum or moisturiser.
These are cosmetic effects on the surface and appearance of the skin. It is skincare, not a medicine, and is not intended to treat any skin condition.
Organic, vegan and cruelty-free
Nutriance Organic is certified to the COSMOS ORGANIC standard by Ecocert Greenlife. On this product, 10% of the total ingredients come from organic farming and 98% are of natural origin. It is a vegan formula (no animal-derived ingredients, per NeoLife), not tested on animals, and non-comedogenic (formulated not to clog pores).
How to use it
Apply a generous amount to a cotton pad and sweep all over the face after cleansing, morning and evening. Follow with a Nutriance serum and moisturiser. For external use only; avoid the eyes. It does contain fragrance (including limonene), so if your skin is very reactive, patch test first.
Where it fits in the routine
Step 1 is a Nutriance cleanser (Cleansing Gel for combination/oily skin, or Cleansing Milk for dry/normal). Balancing Tonic is step 2. Then a hydrating serum, and a moisturiser to finish — the Nutriance Organic range is designed to be layered.
