What is NeoLife Flavonoid Complex?
A supplement providing a broad spectrum of flavonoids — the natural plant compounds found in colourful fruit and vegetables — drawn from cranberry, kale, green tea, beetroot, a mixed-berry blend, grape and citrus, with 30 mg of vitamin C per tablet added. It is 60 tablets, two a day, so a bottle is a one-month supply.1
Before anything else, this product carries specific safety restrictions because of its green tea content — they are set out in full below, and you should read them before buying.
Important safety information
Flavonoid Complex contains a green tea extract standardised for catechins, and the pack carries the following warnings, which we follow for all customers. Please read before use:
- Not for under-18s, and not for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Do not take on an empty stomach — take it with a meal.
- Do not take alongside other products containing green tea on the same day.
- Do not consume 800 mg or more of EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) per day from all sources. A daily dose of this product provides 2.8 mg.1
- Contains caffeine — 3.2 mg per daily dose (about a twentieth of a cup of tea).1
If you are taking prescribed medication or under medical care, check with your GP or pharmacist before taking a green tea supplement.
What is in each daily serving
From the UK nutrition information on the pack — per two tablets, the recommended daily intake.
| Per 2 tablets | Amount | %NRV |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin C | 60 mg1 | 75% |
| Green tea extract | 80 mg1 | – |
| of which EGCG | 2.8 mg1 | – |
The flavonoids themselves are not individually quantified with an NRV, because flavonoids do not have one. They are supplied as whole-food extracts and concentrates: catechins, anthocyanins, proanthocyanins, flavones, flavanones, flavonols and ellagic acid, from the plants listed below.1
What we can and cannot claim
Worth being straight about. Flavonoids carry no authorised health claims in Great Britain — including the green tea catechins. So we cannot attribute any health benefit to the flavonoid content, and a responsible seller will not.
The authorised claims that apply are for the added vitamin C: at 60 mg (75% NRV) per daily dose, vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth. Nothing else on this page is a health claim, and nothing is intended to diagnose, prevent, treat or cure any condition.1
The plant blend
Per tablet, the extracts are made from approximately 833 mg of cranberry, 570 mg of kale and 360 mg of green tea. The full blend:1
- Cranberry extract and a mixed-berry blend (elderberry, raspberry, bilberry).
- Kale and beetroot.
- Green tea extract (source of the catechins, and the reason for the warnings above).
- Grape — red grape and grape skin — and citrus (hesperidin and lemon bioflavonoids).
How to take it
Two tablets a day, with a meal (not on an empty stomach). Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Store somewhere cool and dry, out of reach of children.
60 tablets at two a day is a one-month supply, about 93p a day at £28.00.
Suitability and allergens
No top allergens are declared on the UK ingredient list. The colour includes carmine, which is insect-derived, so Flavonoid Complex is not suitable for vegans (and many vegetarians choose to avoid carmine). Beyond the green tea restrictions above, this is a concentrated botanical product — if in any doubt given medication or a health condition, check with your GP or pharmacist first.

What to compare when buying a flavonoid or “reds/greens” supplement
| What to check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Which plants, named | Flavonoid and “superfood” blends vary enormously. This one names its sources — cranberry, kale, green tea, beetroot, berries, grape, citrus. |
| Green tea / EGCG content and warnings | Green tea catechin products carry mandatory UK restrictions. A product with green tea that does not show them is not labelling responsibly. This one states 2.8 mg EGCG per dose and the full warnings.1 |
| Health claims on the page | Flavonoids have no authorised GB health claims. Benefit claims for them are not permitted. |
| Suitability | This contains carmine, so it is not vegan. |
| Cost per day | Two tablets a day — about 93p a day here. |
